Meet a member! This is Jo from Bayswater Water City VIEW Club in WA. Jo joined VIEW around 8 years ago and hasn't regretted a moment! "When I joined VIEW, I was at a very low point in my life and realised I needed some friends. I knew nothing about VIEW or its connection to The Smith Family. I just wanted to be one of those ladies that 'did lunch with their friends'. As it turned out I met a group of ladies who don't mind if it's lunch or dinner - and sometimes we even let our husbands join us! When I realised that we were helping students as well, that was a bonus. I have learned a lot about a lot of subjects as we always have interesting speakers and just talking to other members who share their knowledge is inspiring. I have also done things I never thought I would do. Just walking in that first day was really something for me. I was sat with a lovely member, who imparted her humour throughout the meeting. To attend other club's celebrations and fly off to other states for Conventions is an achievement that has made me proud of myself. I joined VIEW to make a few friends and now I have more than 60 and I know all of them would be there to help me and any other members if need be. I am proud of our club and of what we do."
