Christmas Came Early for Toomelah! The NSW SES has been proud to support the small First Nations community of Toomelah, which faces regular challenges from flooding. During a recent community preparedness forum, residents raised a simple but vital request: sandbags... And sandbags we have! Last Friday, NSW SES provided 4,000 sandbags to help bolster flood resilience in the area. But that’s not all, we also donated a submersible pump to the Toomelah LALC, a powerful tool that will make a real difference when floodwaters rise again. We’re committed to continuing this important work with communities across the region in 2026 and beyond. From all of us at NSW SES, we wish you a safe, joyful, and relaxing holiday season! #Toomelah #NSWSES Moree Plains Shire Council @Winangali Infusion @ToomelahLALC
