MAAC FACILITIES REMAIN CLOSED DESPITE EASING OF RESTRICTIONS After assessing the new framework from National cabinet, the NSW Government has announced a further easing of restrictions from this Friday 15 May. With the Olympic Pool decommissioning works currently being carried out by Moree Plains Shire Council, Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre will not be reopening on Friday 15 May 2020, due to applicable restrictions. MAAC is a very unique facility. Whilst our pools are considered outdoors, our Artesian water falls under the spa category, which is unfortunately not included in step one of the road map and neither are the Gym or Wellness centre. As the NSW government considers step two and three of the Australian Governments’ Roadmap to a COVIDSafe Australia, the MAAC Board and Management are seeking advice from NSW Health, Royal Life Saving NSW and Safework Australia to implement a safe return for all our patrons. We do very much look forward to the return of our members and patrons. Our re-open date and any applicable conditions will be announced via our social media pages and website once we have met all government regulations.
