It’s grassroots advocacy at its best – thousands of women across Australia championing the power of community as they speak up for children’s education and wellbeing. We’re so fortunate to have the support of these 13,000 VIEW Club members. For more than six decades, this national group has stood alongside us – bringing people together, building connections, raising funds, and advocating to ensure young people growing up with disadvantage have every chance to make the most of their education. VIEW members recently met to agree on their three advocacy priorities for the next two years. They are calling for: Support for children falling below national literacy and numeracy benchmarks. Increased funding for mental health support in schools through dedicated, qualified professionals. Creation of, and support for, programs that address loneliness and social isolation. They’ve already locked in meetings with a number of government leaders. A huge thank you to every one of these women for their partnership and passion. This is how change gathers momentum, and we can’t wait to see what we achieve together this year.
